Free access.The plain of Bischwald is located between Morhange and Saint-Avold. This site is the combination of several stunning natural areas protected and managed by the Lorraine Conservatory of Natural spaces. Furthermore, it is protected at a European level because of its affiliation to Natura 2000. This big ecological complex is composed of the pond of Bischwald, the swamp of Lelling-Guessling-Hemering, meadows, and other humid areas. The Bischwald pond is well-known for its high frequentation of birds : more than a hundred species have been registered there, and are now preserved. Sailing and fishing forbidden.
