On a hill in the small village of Valmunster, lies the oldest church of the region, dated from the 10th Century. The sober and rustic style of the building was preserved along the numerous restoration works during the last thousand years.

Following the appearance of cracks and the installation of temporary reinforcements, an investigation was launched to determine the work to be carried out.
